1. White pebble pathways

Snow white pebbles against dark garden beds is the classic Sydney coastal look. Use a 20–30mm rounded stone at about 40mm deep over compacted road base, with steel or timber edging to keep the line crisp. The white bounces light into shaded side passages that never see sun.

2. Crushed white for modern courtyards

Where the rounded stone reads "coastal", crushed snow white reads "architectural". The angular chips lock together underfoot, so it suits high-traffic courtyards and the strips between pavers. Pairs cleanly with concrete, rendered walls and cactus or succulent planting.

Pebbles are laid thinner than mulch — 40–50mm is plenty for full coverage. As a rule of thumb, one tonne covers roughly 10–12m² at 40mm, varying with stone size.
